Signal Privacy Policy
Signal is designed so Hastings Dynamics does not receive your playlist, credentials, viewing history, or private iCloud records.
Data you provide
Signal processes playlist definitions, guide addresses, account credentials, profile settings, favourites, pins, playback preferences, and watch progress to provide the app. Playlist catalogues, guide data, artwork, and caches stay on your devices.
iCloud and Keychain
If private sync is enabled, secret-free source definitions, profiles, preferences, overrides, and watch progress are stored in your private CloudKit database. Complete playlist and guide URLs, usernames, passwords, and tokens are excluded from CloudKit and stored in synchronizable iCloud Keychain when available. You can disable sync or separately delete synced data in Settings without deleting the local library.
Purchases and Family Sharing
Apple processes subscriptions, trial eligibility, billing, and Family Sharing. Family Sharing grants subscription access only; it does not expose one family member’s Signal library or viewing history to another.
External services
Signal connects directly to sources you add, whose operators receive ordinary network-request information under their own policies. If you choose optional TMDB metadata enrichment, relevant movie or series search details are sent to TMDB. Version 1 contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDK.
Your choices
You can remove sources, profiles, local app data, Keychain credentials, or synced iCloud data from the app. You may also manage or cancel your subscription in Apple Account settings.
