Terms & subscriptions

1. The app and your licence

Penny: Money Together is provided by Hastings Dynamics Ltd, company number 13958053, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Your app licence is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms describe Penny-specific features and do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer law. Our handling of personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

Penny is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You may enter, import or share only information you are entitled to use. Respect other people’s privacy and the terms of your bank and Apple services.

2. Membership

The configured UK price is £0.99 per person per month. The purchase screen shows the actual price and terms for your storefront before confirmation. A free, separate demo is available. An active membership enables paid editing and new imports for your personal records.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The monthly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before that end. Manage or cancel in Apple’s subscription settings. Apple administers billing and refund requests.

One subscription covers the subscriber’s supported devices using the appropriate Apple Account. Each partner subscribes separately; subscription Family Sharing is not enabled. Household access does not grant a membership, and membership does not grant another person’s banking permission.

After entitlement expires or is revoked, paid editing and new imports stop. Existing records remain readable, exportable and deletable, subject to applicable consent and deletion requirements. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically erase your data.

3. Private beta and availability

The current release is an internal TestFlight beta. TestFlight purchases are sandbox transactions and do not charge real money. A public release has not been announced. Builds can expire, features can change, and access depends on Apple’s testing and distribution services. Keep exports of records you need.

Manual accounts and CSV import are available in the beta. TestFlight 0.1.0 (2) adds Apple-approved FinanceKit access for personal imports from eligible UK Wallet accounts on iPhone. You must consent to the disclosed data use and authorise selected accounts; coverage, history and freshness depend on Apple, your bank and your choices. Wallet data cannot be shared with a partner in this version. Apple Watch support and background Wallet delivery are not currently provided.

4. Financial information and planning

Penny does not hold funds, initiate payments, issue cards, trade investments or give personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice. A savings goal or settlement entry records your plan or a payment made elsewhere; it does not move money.

You should check significant decisions against your bank’s own records. Bank information may be delayed or incomplete, imports can contain duplicates or mapping mistakes, and transaction treatment may require your review. Currency totals are displayed separately; Penny does not silently convert currencies or promise universal bank coverage.

5. Shared information and your devices

Household sharing is optional and uses separate Apple Accounts. Share only information you have permission to disclose. Participants may edit shared planning records according to their access. A recipient may retain an exported copy after a share is withdrawn.

Sync, reminders, purchases and account information depend on device settings, network access and third-party services. Reminders are planning aids, not guaranteed payment alerts. Secure your devices and account, keep software updated and export data before deletion. See support for practical controls.

6. Changes, problems and your rights

We may improve or change Penny, including when required by Apple, a bank, security needs or law. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate, and any paid-service or price changes must follow Apple’s rules and applicable law. Nothing here excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
