Provider and licence

Kindred is provided by Hastings Dynamics Ltd, company number 13958053, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. The Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement applies to App Store licensing where applicable. TestFlight testing is subject to Apple’s applicable TestFlight terms.

Appropriate use

The app is intended to be operated by adults managing their own records or records they are permitted or authorised to manage. Obtain appropriate permission before entering another person’s information. Keep device access secure, verify entries and do not upload another person’s records to our support service.

Kindred does not prescribe treatment, calculate clinical doses, diagnose symptoms or check drug interactions. Entries and stock estimates depend on the information you supply. Follow your clinician’s directions; do not change treatment on the basis of the app.

Reminders and availability

Reminders depend on permissions, device settings and a bounded schedule that is refreshed when the app runs. Watch actions may queue while disconnected. Kindred does not guarantee delivery, detect every missed dose or provide an emergency or remote monitoring service. See reminder limitations.

The current version is a private local-only beta. Cloud sync, remote invitations and remote caregiver alerts are unavailable. Some test versions include a Plus subscription flow; TestFlight purchases use Apple’s testing environment. TestFlight builds expire and may change. Keep your existing care arrangements during testing.

Records and backups

You control the accuracy, export and deletion of records you enter. Keep an encrypted backup and its recovery key if you need recovery; we do not hold your medication database or a copy of its key. Restore replaces existing local records. Copies you export to another service follow that service’s terms. Our privacy policy explains data handling.

Charges and changes

In versions offering Kindred Plus, Free includes one care profile, unlimited medicines, reminders, logging, basic stock tools and basic reports. Plus adds additional profiles, a combined overview, refill planning and appointment summaries. The monthly subscription shows Apple’s actual local price before purchase and renews automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid access period; applicable billing grace periods are honoured. Existing profiles, reminders, logging, basic reports and saved outputs remain available after Plus ends. Creating additional profiles and new Plus plans or summaries requires active access. Restore Purchases is available in the Plus screen. Apple handles billing and refund requests under its applicable terms and your consumer rights.

Eligible subscriptions can be shared through Apple Family Sharing. This shares access to Plus features, not medical records. iPhone and Mac records remain independent. No remote family service or iCloud storage is included. Earlier test versions may not offer purchases.

We may update Kindred to fix problems or improve it. Material changes to applicable terms will be explained appropriately. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights relating to digital content.
